BrightArrow Notification System

The Burlington Township School District continually works to improve the communication between the school district and our parents/guardians. To enhance communication with families, our district is now using BrightArrow Technologies, Inc. The BrightArrow system uses telephone, email, text, and social media communication to notify all families of important notifications quickly. The system allows the district to contact our families within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event. It will also be used to communicate general announcements or reminders.

BrightArrow is integrated within the existing PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you log on to the Parent Portal you will see a new link called “BrightArrow” on the left side. This has replaced our former notification system Swiftk12. You will be able to see contact information that BrightArrow will use for notifications. When notifications are sent, BrightArrow will notify all the phone numbers and/or emails to parents/guardians listed as having custody in PowerSchool. To guarantee the messaging system is used efficiently, we will need to confirm that your contact information is accurate and up-to-date. If any of your contact information needs to be updated, please contact the main office of your student’s school. Within this section of the Parent Portal, you will also have the ability to view previous messages sent.

It's crucial for our families to stay informed and receive important notifications. Please keep an eye on your text messages for communications from BrightArrow to get you started. The first message will include the following: "Burlington Township School District would like to send you text messages. To receive messages, please reply YES." If you do not reply YES, you will miss out on important emergency messages. BrightArrow's text messages will be sent from the short code 79041. We suggest saving this short code in your phone, so you can easily identify messages from BrightArrow (BTSD Notification System).
