About Burlington Township School District

The Mission of our school district is to develop the intellectual, creative, and social potential of each of our students through an active partnership with all members of the Burlington Township community. Our educational institution values the inspiration of learning, diversity, engagement and meaning, community and collaboration, and lifelong learning. Our Vision as a school system is one of ALL students achieving their highest potential. To realize this vision, we strive each and every day to provide the best and safest schools, promote a highly engaged community, and operate the most effective and efficient school district. Each year our school district adopts goals to accomplish this Mission, live our Values, and realize our Vision.

Our district offers a wide variety of programs and services to help students achieve the New Jersey Curriculum Standards, as well as their personal, educational and career goals. The district provides a full-day kindergarten program, a program for academically talented children, a program for children in need of academic support, and an ESL program. Enrichment and remedial programs are available to students through extended school year programs. An array of services for students with special educational needs is provided in all grades including preschool and kindergarten. Students with needs that cannot be met in Burlington Township are sent to the Special Services School District or other schools. Guidance and counseling services are provided in all grades.

The district implements a comprehensive curriculum in all grades that addresses all content areas in the NJCCCS. Computer technology is introduced at the elementary level giving all students the opportunity to become computer literate. A wide variety of co- and extra-curricular activities are available to provide students with a rich schooling experience.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to become actively involved in their children’s education. The district offers numerous opportunities for community participation and input, including a comprehensive Family Learning Series that provided families an opportunity to learn together.
