Students should be familiar with conflicts, culture, economic eras, key people, political movements, social groups, and themes between pre-Columbian to present history. Interpretation of primary source documents within the context of history will also be required. Know the Founding Documents; War of 1812; Exploration and Discovery period; closing of the frontier, Manifest Destiny, slavery, Civil War, Reconstruction, Imperialism, WWI, WWII, Cold War, Civil Rights Era, and rise to global power.
