By-Laws

The By-Laws is our most high-level policy document. If the Articles of Incorporation define who we are and what our purpose is, the By-Laws gives us the basic structure for accomplishing that purpose. It defines the Board, Executives, committees, rights of membership and voting, accountability systems, and more. By-Laws are less detailed than regular Policy, and are also harder to change. Think of the By-Laws as providing the basic "ground rules," and our policy documents (Administrative Code, Policy Directory) as providing even more detail on exactly how to do things.
