Here is the waiata we will be singing for the assembly in Week 5.  E Tu Kahikatea celebrates the mighty kahikatea tree which stands tall and proud in the New Zealand bush.  It was a very important tree to early Maori for its wood and its fruit.  The waiata talks about the importance of standing tall and proud, like this tree

Here's the recorder part for E Tu Kahikatea - you will need to practise the new notes which are F#, E and D.  Keep practising the tricky bits until you know them and then see if you can play the whole line.  If you get stuck, come and check in with me in the Studio for some help.
