Hello Year 3 students in 2026! Here is your Studio page...just for Year 3.
Year 3 are leading the Full School Assembly in Week 11. It will be on Friday which is the last day of Term 2.
We will be singing 'He Honore'. This is a hymn and a special song to sing when people are gathered together - like at a school assembly.
Then we are going to perform 'Calypso'. We will be sharing your Studio learning this year - playing Chime Bars, Boomwhackers and Xylophones. All these instruments are tuned - you can play a tune on them and they have the notes C, D, E, F, G, A and B. We call this the C family because it starts on C!
Here is the waiata 'He Honore'
Here is the song 'Calypso'. Calypso is a type of music that comes from the West Indies, or Carribean area of the world. Can you find that on a map?
Here is the body percussion pattern for 'Calypso'
Here are the notes you need to play to go with the song. These can be played on the chime bars, boomwhackers or xylophones because they are all 'C family' instruments.
