The Service Users Recruitment Advisory Group supports the selection of students for Health and Social Work courses. They help to ensure that students who are recruited have appropriate attitudes, values, and communication skills for their future role.
It is comprised of staff from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences together with volunteers who are service users or carers.
We meet 4 times a year. Service users and carers are not paid to attend these meetings, but they can claim travel expenses , and a lunch is provided before the meeting when it is possible to meet on campus.
For helping at interviews, service users and carers can claim £15 per hour, pro rata.
Our terms of reference are regularly reviewed and were updated in October 2022, and the membership updated in September 2022.
