Other Enrichment Opportunities

The Department of New Jersey Fish and Wildlife is offers a three day summer program for students going into grades 7, 8 and 9 in the September, 2022. This program is ideal for middle school students interested in marine science or environmental studies.

TARGET: The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology

TARGET is a summer program at Rutgers University designed for middle school and high school students to increase awareness and familiarize them with career opportunities within engineering. This program encompasses six different, one-week long, commuter programs with eligibility determined by grade-level.

HEROES in New Brunswick is a non-school sponsored organization that provides after-school and weekend classes to challenge academically talented students. Classes are offered on a variety of topics in Science & Technology, Writing & Literature as well as Math. See their website for more information: HEROES Academy for the Gifted

Information about the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) program and testing is available. Participation in the CTY Talent Search not school sponsored, however, it is a nationally recognized organization whose programs are well regarded and have stood the test of time.

"CTY Talent Searches identify, assess, and recognize students in grades 2-8 with exceptional mathematical and/or verbal reasoning abilities. Challenging and inspiring courses in CTY's Summer Programs and CTYOnline are open to students who qualify based on test results.
