What makes societies change?
1. Be sure to pay attention to detail when we examine authentic magazines (primary documents) from the 1950s. Your cover, ad, illustrations, and articles should resemble the styles that you observed.
2. Video notes, and article to gather information. Then, write an article to contribute to your group’s magazine.
3. There is no other research required for this assignment. All content information should come from the class sources.
4. Each person must contribute a high quality full page advertisement or the front cover.

3. There should be a clear claim about change in the first paragraph.

5. Information for your article should only come from the documents assigned in class: video LINKS, resource 2, excerpts and other information provided in class.
6. Mostly full-color with possibly some black and white hand drawn illustrations
7. Make it really look like a 1950s magazine.

· Your article should have at least 3 body paragraphs - 5 total.
· Use quote sandwiches - attributive tag + "Quote" (#). Explanation.
· End with a conclusion that follows from and and supports the information or explanations presented
You will either do one ad or the front cover.

3. Must synthesize real ad(s) from 1950s with a 1950s
product that is different from the ad.
4. Must integrate ad technique(s) we learned about
in class this unit.
5. May include other techniques used in past units.
