In 4th grade we work on the following skills:

Perceiving:

• Classify instruments by the 4 families of the orchestra.

• Discuss the lives and times of composers from various historical periods.

• Describe the roles of musicians in various musical settings.

Performing/Producing:

• Sing a variety of songs with accurate pitch and rhythm.

• Sing a variety of songs with appropriate expression.

• Use head voice to create a light, clear sound.
