Monongalia County has three Family Math Night kits available for schools to checkout!
The Gellin’ with Geometry kit is filled with a variety of engaging, hands-on activities that include explorations in 2- and 3-dimensional geometry…perfect for developing those visual, spatial and artistic STEM/STEAM skills.
The Math Medley kit is filled with fun, hands-on activities and games that get kids to explore a variety of topics in math. From geometry to numbers to data analysis, kids will be engaged in doing and representing math in different ways.
The Nifty Numbers kit is filled with activities that get kids to think about and make sense of numbers. Having an understanding of how numbers are represented, how they relate to each other, and how operations affect them is the foundation for understanding how our base 10 number system works.
+ All of the Family Math Night kits come with 8 leveled stations (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for a total of 24 standards-based activities!
+ All materials and manipulatives for 120 K-5 students and their families are included in the kit!
+ The kits also include marketing tools, such as banners, customizable flyers, announcements, and sample letters!
To reserve one of the Family Math Night kits for your school, contact Amanda, Monica, or Kelly Ann! We recommend reserving your kit at least one month in advance and picking it up at least two weeks in advance. Upon reserving your kit, we will send you the kit's coordinator and communication packets to begin planning your event. Please return the kit within a week after your event, to ensure that it is available for other schools.
