Notes: I did read other books before Stephen King, but he was my first serious venture into contemporary horror from across the pond, having read the likes of James Herbert to that point (c.1978).
Notes: It was actually the City of Ferndale Police Department I contacted in case they got the 'calls about a strange English guy walking down the street taking a lot of photos'!
