The interns worked on skills in the classroom and at the internship site.
Five interns from William Blount High School were chosen as the first students to pilot the program
The interns chose from 4 possible rotations which included the Metz dining hall floor, Metz dish room, clerical rotation and housekeeping
As the year progressed, the interns acquired numerous job skills, improved their confidence and prepared for a successful transition to jobs
All five of the interns have met the criteria for the Project SEARCH celebration in April and rotated through the internship sites
All five interns are currently employed
The first Project SEARCH Celebration/Graduation was held on April 19, 2016 at the Chilhowee Club.
The Celebration included 100% placement of the Interns!
