WE REACHED OUR GOAL OF 60 iPODS...THAT'S 50 LIVES CHANGED!!
Thank you to all who joined our campaign!
Change a life...donate a used or new IPod!
Recently in Psychology we have been studying Music Therapy. In our studies we watched a video called “Alive Inside: Music and Memory." It tells the true story of how nursing home residents trapped in their body and minds with Dementia and Alzheimer’s came alive again mentally and physically with music. It’s an amazing story how a simple iPOD changed the lives of these lonely people with the music of their past, bringing back the memories of their earlier selves.
We would like to share with you a short seven minute clip. Please watch the expressions of these dear people and how music changed their lives. Enjoy!

A movement has developed because of this video and now people are realizing how iPODs can change the lives of residents in nursing homes. An organization called “Music & Memory” created by Mr. Dan Cohen who started this program is accepting used iPODs to change the lives of these very special people. We are asking for your help!
If you would like to donate a used iPOD that you are no longer using we and the nursing home resident it would go to would greatly appreciate your kind act. Music & Memory will wipe clean your iPOD of your personal content, restore it to factory settings and place it in the hands of someone who needs it most at one of their MUSIC & MEMORY Certified Care Facilities – loaded with their favorite music. Chargers are needed, but appreciated.
Mr. Jackson has approved that if you donate a used iPOD you will get released early one day for lunch and Mr. Roby will provide you with a chilled, refreshing soda. You can drop off your used iPOD to Mr. Roby in Room 118. There he will take your iPOD and your name which will be included in a special letter to Music & Memory acknowledging your generous gift, along with a group photo
