FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (grants, work study and loans)

This is a single application that you must fill out to get federal financial aid based on your family income. This application needs to be sent to each school you apply to so that they can award financial aid. ALL SENIORS SHOULD COMPLETE THE FAFSA in October!  Money is first come, first serve. DON'T WAIT! 

What you will need to do:

• Ask your parent to gather their completed tax information 

• Apply for an FSA ID for student and guardian at: https://fsaid.ed.gov 

• Fill out the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov (Opens in October, DON'T WAIT!!)

The state of Texas does require students to complete the FAFSA as a graduation requirement.  If you choose not to complete the FAFSA, you can opt-out by completing the form here.  Please not that completing the opt-out form does not prevent you from completing the FAFSA in the future.
