Reading

*I can determine key ideas.

*I can use context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.

*I can explain the difference between fiction and nonfiction books.

*I can identify text features and explain why an author uses them.

*I can discuss the author’s purpose for writing text. 

*I can identify and gather relevant sources and information to answer questions.

Grammar / Writing

*I can identify and write nouns correctly.

*I can identify and write past, present, and future tense verbs correctly.

*I can identify adverbs, nouns, and verbs in sentences. 

*I can put words in alphabetical order. 

*I can capitalize proper nouns and the beginning of a sentence. 

*I can use the correct end punctuation. 


Phonics / Spelling  - This spelling list is for 2 weeks.  The test will be Friday, May 10, 2024.
