The Basic Auto Extrication IOW & Apprenticeship will consist of 28 hours for completion and will combine all aspects of the SCFA IOW (8 hours) along with 16 hours for student lectures and skills.  

Mandatory Dates are as follows:

3/7 Thursday 1800-2200 IOW

3/12 Tuesday 1800-2200 Student Lecture

3/14 Thursday 1800-2200 Tool familiarization  

3/16 Sat 0900-1700 Practical Skills day

3/17 Sun 0900-1700 Practical Skills and test day 

Cutoff March 3rd.  This IOW is limited to 5 students.  Contact Richard.Demmerle@BCFireDepts.com to enroll.   

The Firefighter 1 IOW & Apprenticeship will consist of a MINIMUM of 60 hours for completion and will combine all aspects of the SCFA IOW (16 hours) along with a minimum of 44 hours of Firefighter 1 lecture and skills.  

Mandatory Dates are as follows:

3/23 Saturday 0900-1800 IOW Day 1

3/24 Saturday 0900-1800 IOW Day 2

4/9 Tuesday 1800-2200 First day for students

5/19 Practical Skills test day 

The IOW student must also pick another 32 hours (minimum) of class hours from the schedule to assist with teaching.

The Firefighter 2 IOW & Apprenticeship will consist of a MINIMUM of 40 hours for completion and will combine all aspects of the SCFA IOW (16 hours) along with a minimum of 24 hours of Firefighter 2 lecture and skills.  

Mandatory Dates are as follows:

5/25 Saturday 0900-1800 IOW Day 1

5/26 Saturday 0900-1800 IOW Day 2

6/15 Practical Skills test day 

The IOW student must also pick another 8 hours (minimum) of class hours from the schedule to assist with teaching.
