We are frequently recruiting postdocs interested in using molecular, developmental and bioinformatic methods to answer questions about hormonal regulation of skeletal patterning, morphogenesis and regeneration. Postdocs are expected to find independent sources of funding.
For more information, please email mcmenams@bc.edu with a CV and statement of interest.
We are currently recruiting students for Summer 2026, able to work full time during the summer.
If you are a BC undergrad interested in an intensive and rewarding laboratory experience in developmental biology, consider joining our lab in the future. Students should expect to work on a volunteer basis (generally for course credit) until fully trained. Funding is sometimes available for independent students through the VPR office or through other sources, and students are encouraged to seek out other funding sources to support their research.
The strongest candidates:
are first years or sophomores at BC
have taken or are taking Introductory Biology and Genetics
have demonstrated work experience and a professional work ethic
have a passion for lab work and thrive as part of a dynamic and diverse team
are willing to make at least a 1 year time commitment to research in the lab, committing at least 15 hours a week during the school year and are open to working full time during the summer
Please fill out the application form found here and contact mcmenams@bc.edu if you do not receive a reply within 2 weeks.
Prospective graduate students are encouraged to contact mcmenams@bc.edu with a statement of interest, and to apply to our graduate program. Graduate applications are due to the University each year in early December for admission in the following academic cycle
