Welcome to the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFJROTC) WA-952 website!

Students enrolled in AFJROTC are part of a first-class instructional program with dedicated and experienced instructors who will go the extra mile for each cadet, and to provide an exceptional learning environment that is safe, educational, fun, challenging, all with one aim: ‘To develop better citizens for America.’

Our Booster Club maintains a Facebook Page to keep families up to date on activities and current events of the corps (BGHS AFJROTC).

WHO WE ARE:

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Woodrow is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, and has over 33 years active duty experience in aerospace and operational physiology, instructor duty at the School of Aerospace Medicine, and command roles stateside and overseas. Now in his 7th year at Battle Ground, LtCol Woodrow has Masters degrees in both Education and Aeronautical Science (Human Factors) and is a Washington State Certified CTE Instructor.

Chief Master Sergeant Charles Shannon is the Aerospace Science Instructor and has over 26 years of active duty military service, including leadership positions in aircraft maintenance and munitions both stateside and overseas,as well as a senior instructor at the Air Force NCO Academy. Chief Shannon is in his 21st year at Battle Ground High School and has successfully guided cadets to regional and national competitions for drill and color guard. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and is a Washington State Certified CTE instructor.
