About ARYA SAMAJ MARATHALLI
"Arya Samaj Marathalli " is the result of full dedication ,devotion ,and hard work of a soldier of Swami Dayananda Saraswati Mr. S.P.KUMAR, (M.Sc.) who came to Bangalore in September 2004 and he started to spread Vedic Knowledge by performing Havans ,Sanskaras by Vedic system and rendered his voluntary services for 3 to 4 hours daily to Arya Samaj Indira Nagar, Bangalore almost till the end of 2008 .He felt that Bangalore being a Metro City have only two Arya Samaj/s .He started planning to establish a new Arya Samaj in the newly developed area. where there is a will there is a way. He called a meeting of his like minded fellows Col H.C. Sharma, Shri A.K. Trivedi ,Mr.H.R.Arora, Mr. Anil Grover and Mr. G.K. Kumaraswami, Mrs. Prem Arora, Mrs. Neeta Bajaj and others and formed a management committee with Col.H.C.Sharma (President) and Shri A.K.Trivedi (Secretary) and Mrs Prem Arora (Treasurer) and Shri H.R. Arora (Vice President) gave the title to newly formed Arya Samaj as " ARYA SAMAJ MARATHALLI."
With his will power and efforts by putting his all physical and financial resources he hired a office and a house for Purohit and requested Shri Ram Tirth Shastri ( A Vedic Scholar) , who was already associated as a Purohit with Arya Samaj, Jaipur House, Agra to come and help to establish a new Arya Samaj. Familiar to the dedication and devotion of S.P.Kumar he accepted the kind request and joined the hands.
It was just a miracle, at the time of admission of Purohit"s Son ,the owner and Secretary of The Brillient School, nearby Shri G,R.Ramachandraiah was so inspired by Mr. S.P.Kumar , he himself offered School Hall for Weekly Sunday Satsang
and other religious functions, which pave the way..
On 7th September 2008 a dream became reality and ARYA SAMAJ MARATHALLI was Inaugurated by Shri Y.R.Patil, I.P.S.(Retired I.G.Karnataka) and the function was blessed by renowned Vedic Scholar ACHARYA ARYA NARESH JI and presided by Dr. P.C.Manav,President Arya Samaj (Civil Area) trust, Bangalore. The function was discoursed by Acharya Raj Dev ji (Etawah) Shastri and Vedic Bhajanopadeshak Shri Bhanu Prakash Shastry (Bareilly) and witnessed by 350 to 400 persons. After “Thanks Giving” by the President the event was followed by a Rishi Langar.
After grand opening of Arya Samaj Marathalli in the premises of Brilliant School, Weekly Havan & satsang started by Mr S.P. Kumar. He started performing out door Havan & Rituals himself and with the help of Purohit Acharya Ram Tirth Shastra. For administrative jobs he took one small room on rent for the office nearby in Thubarahalli. Continued for 6 years running Arya Samaj in other’s premises started him pinching and he started looking land for own premises without any fund in his pocket. But where there is will there is way. With his strong will power he was blessed by God,he was offered the next door plot for purchase, he immediately accepted the offer and paid advance,for not to lose any chance and made a request to all members of the Arya Samaj Marathalli for their contribution and to all his relatives and friends .People came forward to help him and by the God grace land got registered on 30th March 2013 .
He did not stop here and performed the Bhoomi pooja on 18 October 2015 by our respected so called Pita ji Bhamashah Shri Raghbir Bahadur Kanwar followed by grand function and started making building plan with Mr. Inder Talwar the Secretary of the trust to start construction and made a request to Mr. Jayram S the chairman of J K Group and Director Mr.Ramesh Reddy to come forward to help in the construction work & in the meantime they started consultation with well experienced senior architect Mr. V.K. Girdhar ,being a member of Arya Samaj he assured for all the help needed. Mr. Inder Talwar being a technical & experienced person in this field discussed for all our requirements with Mr. Girdhar and got our plan ready and got approved by B B M P with the help & guidance of Mr. Jayram S.
With the blessings of Almighty and the support of all our well wishers the day of 22nd October 2016 became a Historical for all of us ,the construction started with the help of of Mr. Krishna Reddy & Mr. Rama Reddy under the supervision of Mr. Jayram S , Mr. Ramesh Reddy and Mr. Inder Talwar.
From the Trust side Mr.Talwar was given the responsibility to look after construction part and Mr. S.P.Kumar (Fakire Dayanad) to manage the funds accordingly so that construction should go on without any breakdown. The team of Mr. Kumar (72yrs) & Mr. Talwar (84yrs) put their full efforts to achieve the target earliest possible .The Dream Came true and a 5 story modern ecco friendly building with 3 spacious Halls(Pryaer Hall,Day Care Senior Citizens Hall & Foodcourt Hall on the top),4 Senior Citizens Guest rooms attached with Kitchen & Toilets with the backup facilities of Solar Gyser, Shendlar lift (8 Persons Capacity) and 10KVA Kirloskar Generator was ready to use in the 1st. week of March 2018 on a very small plot of 1200 sq.ft.This was not less than a MIRACLE for all of us, started with zero on 7th September 2008, the Arya Samaj Marathalli got his own modern Building.
Inaugural Function:
It was decided by the Trustees to get the “Inauguration” followed by “ Dedication of the building for the Mankind” on auspicious day of Ugadi/Navsamvatsar 18 th March 2018.(The day Swami Dayanand founded the first Arya Samaj in Bombay now its Mumbai in 1875)
The three days function was organised from 16th march to 18th March2018.The event was started with Vedic Dhwajarohan by Bhamashah Shri Ragubir Bahadur Kanwar ji , Swami Ayravesh ji (President of International League of Arya Samaj,New Delhi & Dr. Mahaveer Prasad Agarwal ji (Ex. V.C.Gurukul Kangree University,Haridwar).After Dhwajvandana ,the Havan was perfomed by Purohit Acharya Ramtirh Shastri. After introductions & welome of Hounarable Guests by Fakire Dayanand Vedic Bhajans presented by Shri Kanchan Kumar & party (Delhi) and Discourse (Pravachan) by Renowned Vedic Scholar Dr.Mahaveer Prasad Agarwal, Swami Aryavesh ji,Pt. Umesh Chand Kulshresht ji(Agra) and Guruji Yash Pal Arya ji (Agra).The event was witnessed by 400 plus people from Bangalore ,Karnataka & other parts of India. The Morning event ended with Rashtriya Prarthana,Rashtriya Geet and shantipath followed by Rishi Langar. The Same continued in the evening and next day morning & evening on 17th March.
Karnataka Arya Karykarta Samelan was also organised in the after noon of March 17th presided by Shri Subhash Astikar,President Karnataka Arya Pratindhi Sabha to boost the Moral of Karnataka’s Arya Samaj Karyakartas
Final Session of Inaugural Function & Dedication of the Building for the Mankind (18th March 2018 , Navsamvatsar/Ugadi)
This was the historical & joyful moment for all the followers of Arya SamajDecorated Building with flowers and lighting was Inaugrated and Dedicated for the mankind after purification by Havan (Agnihotra/Yajna) with Ved Mantras by Purohit Acharya Ram Tirth Shastri in the morning of the auspicious day of Navsamvatsara/Ugadi/Gudiparva by the Chief Guest, The Principle Commissioner of Income Tax Mumbai Mr. Rakesh Bhasker ji with Swami Aryavesh ji,Dr.Mahaveer Prasad Agarwal,Mr.Arvind Limbavalli M.L.A.( Mahadevpura Constituency,Bangalore),Shri Jayram S.,Mr. Ramesh Reddyand Mr.Vijay Kumar,Parshad (Ward 85) by Enlightening Deepak with a loud clapping & chanting Gayatri Mantra by audience to make it a memorable event in the history of Arya Samaj in Karnataka.
After Inauguration the introduction of the Guests was presented by Mr.S.P.Kumar (Fakire Dayanand) followed by warm welcome of the Guests with Shawls & traditional Peet Angavastra printed with Gayatri Mantra & Vishwani Dev… Mantra followed by Welcome speech by young Secretary of Arya Samaj Marathalli Mr. Kumar Abhimanyu followed with Bhajans by Pt. Kanchan Kumar & party.
After the address by Chief Guest Mr. Rakesh Bhasker I.R.S. the function was blessed by Swami Arya vesh (President S.A.P.Sabha),Shri Arvind Limbavalli M.L.A.and Shri Jayram S. ,Dr. Mahaveer Prasad Agarwal ji, Shri Subhash Astikar (President Karnataka A P Sabha),Shri Umesh Chand Kulshreshth,Shri Ramakant Saraswat (Ex. Secretary A U P S,Agra),Shri Yash Pal Arya(Agra).
On this auspicious moment a book on Swamy Dayanand Saraswati ‘s Life in comic format in Kannada language for childrens was also released by Chief Geust and all present on the stage.
A Special Honor with Smritichin was given to S.P.Kumar by Arya Samaj Senior Representatives came from Kumar’s Karmbhumi AGRA & Hathras to witness his noble services for the mankind in Bangaluru which he shared with Mr. Inder Talwar who helped him to have such a beautiful Modern structure of Arya Samaj Marathalli building.
The event was witnessed by our well wishers Mr. O.P.Poddar,Smt & Shri Rakesh Bhatnagar from Delhi Mr.Ramaesh Arya from Guwahati,Mr.Ramakant Sarswat,Shri Arvind Mehta,Shri V.K.Agarwal,Shri Ram Prakash Arya,Dr. Khandelwal,Shri U.C.Sharma,Shri Subhash Mahajan,Shri U.C.Kulshresht & Yash Pal Arya all from Agra, Acharya Vamdev ji,Shri K.M.Rajan from Pallakad,Kerala, Mr.G.V.Krishan Kumar C.A. his associate Mr. Raghvendra,Dr.Radha Krisha Verma,Shri Satyvrat,Dr. Sumithra,Shri Subhash Astikar with 154 members of Arya Samaj from North Karnataka region and members of other Arya Samaj’s of Banagluru. In all more than seven hundred people witness the event.
President of Arya Samaj Marathalli Col. H.C.Sharma felicitated all the Guests with Satyarth Prakash & Smritichin and paid his heartiest thanks to Acharya Ram Tirth Shastri and all the Guests , Arya Samaj members from different parts of India to stand with us on this historical day. Col. Sharma appreciated the efforts of Mr. S.P.Kumar (Fakire Dayanand) & Mr. Inder Talwar to get our Dream true & paid thanks to all donors and well-wishers supported us.
The special Honour was given to Mr. C.D.Sharma & Vikram Sharma for their whole hearted support for taking care for Catering all our guests for three days with delicious dishes & sweets from Breakfast to Dinner .
The event ended with Rashtriya Prarthna,Rashtriya Geet,Shantipath followed by Rishilangar.
10th Annual General Meeting held on 31st March 2019
