One's point-of-view can impact understanding. If a scientist does not remain skeptical, then his or her bias could impact the outcome of an investigation. Just like in the illusions above, using only one's perspective can impact the final outcome.

Claims made by scientists need to be verified because of different perspectives and biases. Only well studied ideas become theories and scientific laws.
