Have you ever imagined yourself going on an archaeological adventure? Do ancient civilizations intrigue you? How about modern civilization? Immerse yourself in an experiential learning environment you will never forget. From one of the most vibrant cities in the world to quaint little countryside villages, we will be exploring the archaeology and biological anthropology of ancient Roman Britannia, juxtaposed with the growing diversity and challenges of the modern United Kingdom. Check out the illustrations and PowerPoint below, and get ready to go! Scholarships are available!
We will be studying physical anthropology (ANTH 2301) and Archaeology (ANTH 2302) with London and the English countryside as our classroom. Part of the program will take us to stunning archaeological heritage sites like Hadrian's Wall and Stonehenge. In a unique feature of this program, we will participate in excavations at an actual Roman site. In the summer of 2023, the program runs most of the month of June, with plenty of time to explore!
