Having started out at a community college myself, I can appreciate the importance of the education we offer at ACC. Like many of my colleagues, I teach because I enjoy it.
I am a North American archaeologist with a comprehensive four-field educational approach. I earned my BA in Anthropology from SUNY Geneseo in central New York, and my MA and PhD from The Ohio State University in Columbus.

In addition to teaching at ACC, I am also active in Texas archaeology, as the Field Director for the Prehistory Research Project (a joint research endeavor between The Gault School of Archaeological Research and the University of Texas). Over the summer I direct the Allegheny Valley Project, a community archaeology program in western New York State, in conjunction with the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum, and local educational institutions. In addition, I work with local partners in the UK to allow ACC students in the Anthropology Study Abroad Program to have hands-on archaeological and anthropological experiences in real-world situations.
