Eligibility Information

Certificated Employees:

Members of the Alhambra Teachers Association (ATA) collective bargaining unit are eligible to participate in the health benefit programs afforded by the District if they are employed in a 69% (5½ hours per day) or greater, full-time assignment.

Hourly and substitute employees are ineligible to participate in any of the health benefit programs afforded by the District.

Classified Employees:

Members of the California School Employee’s Association (CSEA) collective bargaining unit are eligible to participate in the health benefit programs afforded by the District if they are employed in a 69% (5½ hours per day) or greater, full-time assignment.

Part-Time Classified Employees:

CSEA part time unit members with a monthly assignment are eligible to participate in Delta Dental and Vision Service Plan programs afforded by the District by making the required premium contributions.

Upon passing probation, Classified employees with a monthly assignment between 38% to 68% are eligible for a $25,000 (new amount effective 10/1/20) Life Insurance benefit.

Hourly and substitute employees are ineligible to participate in any of the health benefit programs afforded by the District.

Management Employees:

Management and Confidential Employees are eligible to participate in the health benefit programs afforded by the District if they are employed in a 69% (5½ hours per day) or greater, full-time assignment.

Members of the Board of Education, by virtue of their elected status, are eligible to participate in the health benefit programs afforded by the District.
