Using the Media Center

The Media Center is open for staff Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. Staff may check out an unlimited number books or materials for two months at a time.

Guided Reading Sets

There is a large collection of novel sets that may be used for small groups of students. Most of the sets have six books (some are incomplete) and many contain a teachers guide. The sets are organized according to the Fountas Pinnell designated reading level. In addition, we also have guided reading sets from the Reading A to Z program (RAZ), which include booklets and which are especially useful for beginning readers. The guided reading sets are being housed in the Math Corps teaching area, so please be aware that they will not be accessible at all hours of the day. Please try to give notice when you are going to come down and get a set. Guided Reading Sets may be searched in the catalog by typing in the phrase "Guided Reading Set" and hitting the "Title" search button.

Online Catalog: Destiny

Our media center uses Follett's Destiny software as our online catalog. It may be accessed here. The catalog may be searched by title, subject, series, keyword, or author. Resources from other schools in the district may also be searched by using Destiny Quest (on the left-hand side menu). Teachers and students may also log in to Destiny to see what materials they have checked out, to hold checked out materials, or to write reviews of titles. Teachers log in to destiny with the username they use for email and the password is their birthday in MMDDYYYY format.
