About Mrs. DiChiara

History: I am Vietnamese American. My parents immigrated here in the 70's during the Vietnam war. I was born and raised in MA. I grew up in a family of 5 children, i'm #4.

Career and Education: This is my 9th year at Avon Middle High School! Before Avon, I taught Art for 3.5 years in Attleboro, where I grew up. I graduated from Bridgewater State University in 2011 cum laude and also received the Art Key Award. I received a masters degree from Rhode Island College in 2021 summa cum laude where I studied Metalsmithing and Jewelry design.

Interests: When I'm not in the art room spending most of my time preparing and teaching you wonderful people, you can find me parenting my two daughters, born in 2021 and 2024. I also love making jewelry, going to art museums, enjoying nature, enjoying my house plants, hiking, going to the beach, dancing, traveling, camping, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
