Complete Part 1 of Form B
Submit Official Transcripts – Unofficial transcripts are not accepted. Official transcripts must be mailed (emailed) directly from the institution where the units were earned.
Submit Syllabus/Syllabi for all courses intending to transfer into the MAP program.
After the faculty reviewer has reviewed your submission, the Form B will be submitted to the Chair of the MAP program for approval. Once approved by the Chair, the submission will be sent to the Registrar’s Office (registrar@antioch.edu) for review and entry.
Submit any questions and the following digital copies to the MAP program: MAPprogram.aula@antioch.edu
A total of 18 units may be transferred (and more in some cases if from an AU campus) from an accredited graduate program.
Coursework must have been earned within 5yrs. immediately preceding admission.
A grade of B or better, or a Pass (If Pass/Fail), for each course.
Courses from a completed graduate degree program elsewhere may not be transferred.
All transfer units must be approved by the Chair of the MAP program in the student’s first
quarter.
With the exception of a few courses listed below, units may be transferred toward required core courses, provided there is a high level of consistency among learning goals and objectives stated in the course syllabi.
Exceptions: Courses that may not be waived:
PSY 5450 Society and the Individual
PSY 5010A Process of Interpersonal Psychotherapy I
PSY 5000AA Clinical Training Readiness
Note, in order to waive PSY 5480 Professional Ethics and Law, the course must have been focused on Ethics and Laws specific to MFTs in CA.
Students who have selected the General Practice Specialization in their program of study are able to transfer the greatest number of units from non-equivalent courses – courses that do not match goals and objectives of MAP required core courses.
Students in the other specializations – ACP, AR, CS, LGBT, PTS, or SDP – will not be able to transfer course units into their specialization.
4-7 units transferred earns a half-time quarter of residency.
8 units or more transferred earns a full-time quarter of residency.
