Dear Members of the Ontario Region of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC,
Dear Visitors,

All our Affiliated Bodies maintain Meetup pages with announcements both for members and non-members. If you are not in a location close to an AB, you may wish to consider joining one of these by clicking on the links: Toronto; Ottawa; London; and Hamilton.

Theme for the year: Entering the Silence
Master’s Message:
In RCUI Discourse 9, it states that it is indispensable to keep the mind still when meditating. It is said that nature abhors a vacuum, so it follows that it is impossible to not think or to think of nothing. The idea behind meditation is to focus the mind on a problem or subject we wish to understand on a profound level; then we make ourselves receptive to receiving Cosmic inspiration on the issue. Regardless of what is happening in our lives, we should be able to go into the silence by entertaining constructive positive thoughts, reading inspirational books, or by walking in nature allowing ourselves to be infused by nature’s beauty.
Hopefully, through meditation we can “Enter the Silence.” I heard a priest describe meditation as a plane on a runway; the pilot goes down the runway building speed as the plane moves down the runway. When the plane reaches the right speed, the pilot pulls back on the control and the plane lifts into the air. Meditation is the plane going down the runway, contemplation is when the plane lifts off the ground into the air.
All things are created in the spiritual realm before they are manifested in the physical, and by that, I mean that we as Rosicrucians know, understand, and use these principles of manifestation, so let us use them to create growth in membership and a more harmonious environment during all our activities.
Fratres and Sorores, through “Entering the Silence” we can perhaps learn to master our thoughts, words, and actions, and from this point of view we can perhaps consider that our Mastery of Life is connected to our Mastery of Silence.
With all best wishes for Peace Profound,
Inskip M

Theme for the year: Being of Service
Master’s Message:
What does it mean to be of service to others? Many examples come to mind, including the simple acts of kindness, such as shoveling a neighbour’s driveway. We can also be of service when meditating; according to Liber 777, raising our thoughts to the level of the Celestial Sanctum offers a great service to humanity. As stated by Gandhi, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”.
Recognizing our own short-comings can lead to self-improvement, which is ultimately of service to others as well. But even being of service requires vigilance, as we may have ulterior motives for serving others, including our own self-aggrandizement. Jiddu Krishnamurti put it well when he said “Love can only exist when the self is not”. He indicates that to be effective in anything we do, there must be love in our heart and no concern with our own fulfillment.
May we explore this theme of Being of Service throughout the year.

Theme: Creating Inner Harmony
Master’s message:
Dear Fellow Mystics,
I am both honoured and humbled to have been asked to be the Trillium Pronaos Master
for Rosicrucian Year 3377. When I joined AMORC only a few years ago, I was content with home study and meditation. Being an introvert by nature (not shy, it just means my energy is most easily directed inward in reflection where I seek stimulation in my inner environment as opposed to being an extrovert where my energy would be directed more to outward action where I would be most comfortable seeking stimulation), this came easily. However, a small voice inside (we must always listen to that voice!) urged me to visit a Trillium Pronaos Convocation, and then to return again and again. What I discovered was that the ritual, as has been said in our teachings, is the main instrument of our mystical path. During the ritual, our community silently, almost without realizing it, enters into harmony, forming a unity. The energy, the vibrations in the temple greatly enhanced whatever benefit I had been experiencing in my home sanctum. I am forever grateful that I listened to that inner voice. And forever grateful to now be part of the Trillium community of mystics, a kind, respectful, thoughtful group in which I now feel very much at home.
Creating Inner Harmony is the theme I have chosen for the year. A true mystics’ every act is in the interests of harmony. Their love is freely given and they serve for the love of service. As a presenter in one of our Zoom sessions said: “without inner harmony, there can be no Peace Profound”. To be in harmony in all aspects of our lives, we must begin with developing our own inner harmony. As we create inner harmony, the more we are able to be in harmony on all planes, both mundane and spiritual.
Peace Profound,

Theme for the year: The Source of All Wisdom
Master’s Message:
Throughout this year and evermore, may we proceed thusly. Let us be neither dogmatic nor sectarian in our views even as our views pertain to our beloved Order. Mystics are walking question marks; we seek answers everywhere - most notably within ourselves, but also outwardly through all worthy sources. Let us seek to elevate ourselves above the mundane, for the mundane World is that from which the Mystic individuates. One cannot individuate and perfect while retaining any attachment to the mundane; nor can one individuate while adhering to dogma, sectarianism, or belief of any sort.
Let us consider politics maturely, realistically, and even critically, for the Mystics of the past did not shy away from chastising corruption and philosophizing on the constructs that keep humanity subservient.
Remember that the American Founding Fathers, for example, were revolutionary leaders - activists comprised of Rosicrucians and Freemasons who fought to free humanity. They did not sit idly and watch events unfold while holding political biases based on the popular views of the day. Nor did they seek to consort and conform with the profane.
Rosicrucians are those who are born to seek knowledge, justice, and understanding of the Divine laws with which we desire to attune. We are born with a sense of gnosis which compels us to seek the greater light. We do not enter into the bonds of the Order out of mere curiosity.
Remember that in this material plane of Malkuth - literally the plane of “bad behaviour” - there can be no unity. The number 1 cannot be multiplied and the square root of 2 is not 1. Here, all is reflection; all is duality. It is only on the higher planes, through our minds and spirits revealing to us our love of truth, that we find Unity. The love of truth must always be the impetus behind our quest for Unity. This is the beginning of Wisdom and the beginning of the individual.
I urge you all to search within to determine what spark initiated your departure from the mundane to embark on this journey. Where are you currently on this journey and where are you going?
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Braden S, FRC
