Below are research/evidence based activities that you can do at home to help your child improve in reading, and they aren't just for students who are in RtI. All children could benefit from extra reading and math practice.

Number Sense
Number Sense lays the foundation that everyone needs to have in order to be successful in math. It is understanding what numbers are, what they mean, and how numbers can be manipulated. Below are a few good games that work on building Numbers Sense.
Basic Facts
Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication or Division Flashcards: Choose one area at a time. Choose one set of facts (9 facts, or 4 facts). When practicing, student should recite the entire problem in about 3 seconds. (Ex. say five plus two is seven). Once the child knows a set of facts, add on another set.
