BIG IDEAS (DAY 1):
Submit thesis and big ideas for speech here- due 2/24 (this link will take you to the turn in location on Moodle. You'll need to fill in your username and password-- do NOT sign in as a guest or you won't be able to submit.)
Here is what you need to fill out:
1. Speech topic (your SPECIFIC proposed change-- think laws, rules, regulations, etc.):
(***If you have a basic topic, like unicorn protection, you're not there yet. Take an opinion on the topic, like unicorns need protection. THEN make it into a CHANGE, like the U.S. Government needs to increase the amount of defense funds spent on unicorn protection.)
2. Best 3-4 arguments for your argument (your best 2 will eventually become your main speech points; you'll need to back these up with research tomorrow):
3. Best 3-4 arguments from your opposition (your best 2 will eventually be part of your rebuttal-- you will need to argue strongly against these; you'll need to back these up with research tomorrow):
Fill out and submit HERE by the end of class on 2/24. I'll send you feedback on Moodle.
