We are lucky at DEHS to have great facilities for students to work in every day. We have a 1,000 ft2 greenhouse, 2200 ft2 class/lab, 500 ft2 covered patio lab area for our mechanics projects, several raised bed gardens, and recirculating fish tanks.
FFA is our co-curricular student organization that provides students to compete, travel, earn awards and most importantly develop leadership skills.
SAEs or (Supervised Agriculture Experiences) are the student led agriculture based projects all our students complete in leu of homework. We want students to have meaningful, personalized, hands-on experience in agriculture. Students select their own unique SAE - it could be anything from growing a garden, to working at ag retailer, or raising livestock. The possibilities are endless. Click here to learn more about SAE.
