Mission: FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
The National FFA organization is a intracirricular agriculture based youth leadership club that allows students to network with students from other schools, compete in agriculture based competitions, and attend leadership conferences.
By being enrolled in an agriculture class, you are automatically an FFA member, congratulations!
While there are regional, state, and national events, Desert Edge FFA hosts many events for the DE FFA students right at our school!
By being in FFA, students are elligable to compete in CDEs (Career Development Events) , which are agriculture based contests where students can try their hand at a careeer to see if they might want to pursue it after high school.
Students also have access to leadership conferences in the state and across the nation where they can build their networking skills and knowledge of the agriculture industry with other eager young adults.
The official name of the organization is the National FFA Organization. The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America.
These letters are a part of our history and our heritage that will never change.
