Fair Projects - Smallstock & Livestock

Small stock in terms of fair projects includes rabbits, poultry and guinea pigs.  Poultry can include turkeys, laying hens, roosters, meat chickens and ducks. Each Small stock show has it's own set of rules for what 'class' the animal will fall into. Generally Rabbits, Roosters, Laying Hens and Ducks must meet breed standards or they will be disqualified. 

Large livestock projects typically include cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats, categorized by breed, age, weight, or purpose (market or breeding). Each show has specific rules for these classifications.

Market animals are judged on traits like muscling and structure, while breeding animals are evaluated on conformation and breed standards. Health requirements, including vaccinations and registration for purebreds, must be met to avoid disqualification.
