Prerequisite:

Currently enrolled in, or successful completion of Chemistry or CP Chemistry.


Course Description:

Students in this class will cover the history and development of flying machines starting with Otto Lilliantahal and culminating with the design and development of the next generation space plane. This course will allow the aeronautics-interested student to understand the following science concepts:

    • Introduction to aviation

    • History of flight

    • Aerodynamics

    • Meteorology

    • Federal Aviation Regulations

    • Airport operations

    • Flight planning and navigation

    • Application (simulator experience and execution of a pre-planned flight)

This course is a stepping stone to college level classes in aviation administration or advanced space sciences.
