About Me

I am originally from Springfield, Missouri. My family and I moved to Colorado in 2000. I have been directing the choirs at Legacy since 2001. In addition, I am the school’s Thespian Troupe (drama club) sponsor and Director/Producer of all of the theatrical productions at Legacy as well as teaching the THEATRE I class.  

Professionally, I have served on the CHSAA Music committee and have also served as Membership Chair for the Colorado ACDA as well as being an adjudicator for CHSAA Choir Festivals, Colorado West Festival, Kansas High School Activities Association State Choir Festivals, and the Oklahoma High School Activities Association State Choir Festivals. My training includes having Master of Music degree with choral studies under such nationally known conductors as Dr. Milburn Price and Dr. John Dickson. In addition I have Music Education degrees from Southwest Baptist University and Missouri State University. I also hold a Certified Theatre endorsement through the Colorado Department of Education.

My husband Eric is a retired music teacher in addition to teaching private voice lessons.  I have 3 children (Tyler who graduated in 2011 married to Amber who also graduated in 2011, Morgan who graduated in 2013, and Macy who graduated in 2015). I am a huge dog-lover with a sweet dog named Jackson and two grand-dogs named Fred and Dexter. I am now Grandma to Raelynn who was born in Nov. 2019 and Kinsley who was born November 2021.
