Coach Wilson is new to high school soccer but has been a soccer coach with Broomfield Soccer Club for over 10 years. In that capacity, he has the opportunity to coach boys soccer for kids aged between 5 and 15 years old.
Of British descent, Coach Wilson grew up in the Netherlands and played competitive soccer for his local club from the age of 5. He moved to England to study at college and represented his college on the field at the highest level. After college, Coach Wilson continued to play soccer for a local club. Coach Wilson moved to Chicago in the mid 1990s and continued to play competitive soccer indoors. Following a couple of years living in Australia, Coach Wilson moved to Broomfield and played soccer in a co-ed indoor league. A few years ago, Coach Wilson resumed his outdoor soccer career playing and managing a 48+ men's soccer team. During the spring and fall season, you can catch Coach Wilson playing outdoors on Sundays at the Broomfield Commons.
Coach Wilson is passionate about soccer, to the extend that he will wake up at 6am in the morning on weekends just to watch live games. With Coach Wilsons roots established playing soccer in the Netherlands, he's a strong proponent of attacking, exciting and expressive soccer. Coach Wilson believes soccer is a 'life sport' and should be something a student continues to enjoy throughout their life.
Coach Wilson is married and has two sons (both of whom attend/attended Legacy High School). He currently works as a Web application developer with IBM. Coach Wilson enjoys cooking, yoga, cycling and strength training ... as well as playing soccer :)
