Coach Elder has been coaching soccer at Legacy since 2004. He is also a counselor in the district at Thornton High School. He graduated from Legacy High School in 2003, a member of its first graduating class. He received his Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver and his Master's in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Working with students to help them achieve their goals and prepare for their future is very rewarding for him. He enjoys working with players on and off the soccer field to ensure student success in all of their endeavors.
Outside of coaching and counseling, he loves spending time with his wife and newborn son! He volunteers for Adaptive Adventures, a nonprofit organization that provides outdoor sports opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities. He enjoys rock climbing, whitewater paddle boarding, mountain biking and snowboarding. He feels fortunate to live in a state where he can enjoy the great outdoors often. He is a huge Chelsea FC fan and continues to play indoor soccer.
He is a huge believer that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
