Fundraising

Recent purchases of new equipment and uniforms have been costly. There are also some large items that need replacing such as goals which are very costly. In an attempt to meet the growing needs of the soccer program, we have increased this year's expected student-athlete fundraising goal to $150 per student. However, we have also created two new opportunities to help kids and their families reach these goals. The primary fundraising activity this year will be announced soon. Additionally, families are encouraged to use the King Soopers Reloadable Gift Cards as a way to earn money towards their student-athlete's account without spending any additional money. See below for details on both of these ideas/events.

Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser

THE FUNDRAISER WAS APPROVED! All players will receive a collection form and instructions the week of 9/19/11. The event will take place on 10/3/11 at 4:30pm at Thorncreek Golf Course. All players should begin selling the golf ball lottery numbers as soon as possible. The event will have a DJ, food, and helicopter rides. Golf balls numbers are $10 each and prizes will include cash gifts, an iPod, a ball signed by Rapids players, and gift certificates and products from local vendors.

King Soopers Fundraiser

We have a new fundraising option for the Legacy Boy's Soccer Team that families can use to help meet their fudraising goals. We are selling King Soopers Reloadable Gift Cards that can be used for all grocery and gas purchases. We offer these for $10 and they already have $10 loaded on them. Each time you purchase groceries or gas simply ask the clerk to load whatever dollar amount you need onto your card before they ring you up and then when they total your purchase you hand them your gift card and complete the transaction. You may pay cash, check or credit card for your downloads. If the entire program reaches a total of $5,000 loaded onto the gift cards at the end of a four week cycle, the team will earn $250.00 (or 5% of total sales). If as a whole we do not raise the $5,000 minimum in the four week cycle it roles over to the next cycle. We have ordered 40 cards so far and some families have already raised substantial amounts of money towards their fundraising goals by giving multiple cards to family, friends, neighbords, etc. We track your downloads and your 5% proceeds will help you reach your fundraising goal for the 2011 season.
