Registration Options for the
2024-2025 School Year
Aplington-Parkersburg students in Kindergarten/Kaleidoscope through grade Twelve will register ONLINE for the 2024-25 school year via the online process. REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN AUGUST 1st . PLEASE HAVE YOUR REGISTRATION COMPLETED BY TUESDAY, AUG 15th. You are not able to complete this process from a phone. It must be completed from a laptop or desktop computer. For those that do not have access to a computer, we will have one night with laptops available at the High School in order for parents/guardians to complete their registration. If you will be paying in cash, you will also need to stop in on this night or send a check for registration to 1 of the 3 District buildings. (Information regarding Preschool registration will be mailed to parents separately.)
The district’s registration materials will be accessible via JMC Family Account online. This will be available on Aug 1, 2024. Please Note: All District Offices will be closed the week of July 22-July 26.
Please make sure you click on the updated JMC Parent Portal Link on the website to access your JMC family account and click the School Registration Tab on the left side of the screen. You will be able to complete all your family’s registration through this section. Again, please be sure you have registered your children no later than Aug 15th.
NEW STUDENTS TO THE DISTRICT SHOULD CALL THE APPROPRIATE BUILDING TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR REGISTRATION Parkersburg Elem-Grades Pre-K-2nd-319-346-2446, Aplington Elem and MS-Grades 3rd-8th call 319-347-6621 and Parkersburg HS-Grades 9th-12th call-319-346-1571.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Online Process:
Online Registration materials can be accessed on JMC at http://www.a-pcsd.net. Click on JMC Parent Portal on the middle of the page. You will need your JMC family Password to login. You will then select the “Register for School” tab on the left side of the screen. You will then be directed to fill out the forms that are necessary for each of the children you are registering. Please continue to click on the “NEXT TAB” in the upper left hand corner until a “FINISH” tab appears and then click on that. There will also be a “Sign Forms” tab underneath the “Registration Dashboard” screen. Please click on the “SIGN FORMS” tab and read and sign any forms that have been loaded for your students. You must sign EACH form that is loaded for your student. Your registration is not complete without this step.
Paying your registration fees - This is now done within JMC Parent Access.
On the left hand side of the screen click on Tuition/Fees. This will show you the Fees associated with your students. To pay these fees online click on JMC Online Payments at the top, select the fees by holding down Command (on a Mac) or Control (on a PC/Chrome Device) and click on each fee. Click OK and put in your payment information. You may pay these fees online or drop off/mail your payments to any of the 3 district buildings. If you have questions you may call any of the district buildings for help After AUGUST 1st.
For those Families that DO NOT have access to a computer:
Families may online register Thursday, August 3rd from 5:00-7:00 pm at the A-P High School. The High School will have computers available for families to log on and complete their registration. You will also be able to drop off payments from online registrations already completed if you are not able to pay by debit/credit card.
**Free and Reduced Application:
The Free and Reduced Application will be emailed district wide with instructions. If you are unable to print the application at your home, you may print at either the Parkersburg or Aplington Libraries, or you may stop in any of the 3 District Buildings and request an application after August 1st. They will also be available on-line, with the online registration instructions. Please have your application completed and returned to Staci at the High School BEFORE you begin your online registration for this school year.
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 23rd.

The Free and Reduced Application, with instructions, is available online or at any school. Please have your application completed and returned to Staci Brungard at the high school BEFORE you register if at all possible. Completed forms may be dropped off at the middle school or mailed to: Staci Brungard at 610 N Johnson, Parkersburg, IA 50665. If you do not have it completed, you will need to see Staci on registration night. If your family is direct certified for free or reduced meals, you will be receiving a letter at the end of July. There is no need to fill out an application if you receive this letter.

Completed forms from school mailing(s) over the summer (physical form, immunization form, vision screening.)
If you do not have these forms, additional copies will be available at registration.
Preschool Tuition for 3-1/2-year-olds: $80/month
Preschool Tuition for 4-year-olds will be free again this year due to the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program Funding
Students whose families meet the income guidelines for free and reduced price lunch, the Family Investment Program (FIP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), transportation assistance under open enrollment or who are in foster care are eligible to have their fees waived. Fees that can be waived include Drivers Ed, but NOT class dues or student activity tickets. Parents or students who believe they may qualify for the waiver of school fees should come to the high school office during the days applications are being taken, or they may contact the principal’s secretary at registration time for a waiver form. This waiver does not carry over from year to year and must be completed annually. Be aware also that the School Board believes students should respect school district property and assist in its preservation for future use by others. Therefore, students may be assessed fines, charges or fees for the materials needed in a course, for overdue school materials, for participating in activities, or for misuse of school property.
