Aplington-Parkersburg School Lunch Program
The Aplington – Parkersburg School District utilizes a system called JMC for its lunch program. This is a system designed to account for all lunch information as well as grades. The students no longer have tickets that can be lost or washed and need to be replaced. The students will each be assigned a four-digit I.D. number. When they come through the line, they punch in their own I.D. number. Their account will then be charged for the purchases they chose.
The accounts are maintained by families rather than students. There is a minimum balance set of $5 per student, meaning when a student comes through the line and they have less than $5 in their account, the computer will beep signifying that their account is low. The line attendant will then remind the student to bring lunch money.
All students will be charged for any ala carte purchases. Parents with students on the free/reduced program may want to consider depositing funds into their account to cover these costs.
Lunch balance information is available online through JMC using the same username and password information you use to access grades. If you do not have that information please contact Darla Choate at the high school.
The lunch program at all the schools is computerized. Any amount may be credited to a lunch account. Students in the same family will use the same account. Lunch money may be brought to any of our district schools or payments may be made on-line through the JMC Parent link found on the district website.
