Cubs
Cub Scouts are the second age group in Scouting, aged between 8 and 10½ years old. Cub activities are a little more adventurous that those of the Beavers and will often involve learning new skills, visiting new places and meeting new people.
Our Cub Scout pack meets on a Tuesday between 18:30-19:45.
The Cub Scouts can earn up to 33 activity badges, including Air Activities, Water Activities, Creative and Animal Care, along with a wide range of challenge awards, partnership awards and the staged badges which can be earned in any section.
With such a range of badges available, there’s no way that we could include all of them in our weekly meetings! Some require specialist knowledge that Cubs might get from lessons and clubs outside of Scouting and so it’s a great idea to learn what the requirements are for each badge and where about on the uniform they belong!

Cub scouts require the round neck sweatshirt as uniform, the green polo shirt is an optional extra. School trousers or skirts should be worn for Church Parades or official events, but at weekly meetings anything is acceptable. They are given their group scarf, woggle and three initial uniform badges at investiture.
The other badges we earn during our weekly meetings but remember you can always earn badges at home - follow the badges at home scheme on Online Scout manager !

Badges at home
Your young person can earn badges at home as well as in meeting! Just log in to your OSM account and click on the badges tab. Select a badge with the little house symbol in the top right hand corner then add the required evidence and submit for approval.
