Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family, aged between 6 and 8 years old. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.
Our Beaver Colony meets on a Tuesday between 17:00-18:15.
There are 12 activity badges available for Beavers, ranging from the Adventure Activity Badge to the Imagination Activity Badge, along with many challenge awards, partnership awards and some staged badges which run all through the Scouting sections.
Not all badges will be completed at weekly meetings, so why not find out what needs to be done for the badges and learn where they need to be sewn once they’ve been presented.

Beaver scouts require a round neck sweatshirt as uniform, the turquoise polo shirt is an optional extra. School trousers or skirts should be worn for Church Parades or official events, but at weekly meetings anything is acceptable. They are given their group scarf, woggle and three initial uniform badges at investiture (when they make their Scout promise for the first time).
Visit the badge section of your OSM to see where to place your new badges - click the picture to log in.
Your young person can earn badges at home as well as in meeting! Just log in to your OSM account and click on the badges tab. Select a badge with the little house symbol in the top right hand corner then add the required evidence and submit for approval.
