Hello, my name is Darryl Brown.  I teach Humanities to 9th and 10th grade Students at 5280 High School.  Humanities includes History and English. I have had the opportunity to teach Elementary School, 4th Grade Multi Subject - ELD,  and Middle School, 5th and 6th Grade Mathematics and Science, before coming to 5280 High School in the Fall of 2021. 

My teaching career began in 1990 as one of the initial group of Corp members recruited for the 1990 Teach For America Program. 

I look forward to sharing my love of History and the English language to my students as they grow into life long learners through Project Based Learning. 

I have a firm resolve to create a classroom environment where all students are heard, can learn, and will grow to become productive members of our school community and the communities in which they live.
