The counseling department assists students in the areas of academic, high school readiness, career and college planning, and social emotional. Social emotional counseling may include individual counseling, groups, and classroom counseling lessons. During your students' school career, they may encounter the school counselor in all of these capacities or only through school counseling lessons and scheduling. We consult and collaborate with students, teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies. We value your trust in us and will provide you with a safe environment to talk. We assist parents and teachers regarding the developmental levels and needs of students. We serve as members of the school's support staff and assist with the coordination of student services.

Referrals for school counseling are accepted from students, school faculty and parents. The length of individual sessions is based on a student's need; but, generally don't exceed 30 minutes per meeting/session. Students requiring long-term counseling will be referred to outside agencies. There is not a fee associated with any school counseling services provided and therefore insurance is not required to receive any school counseling services from the school counselor.
