This is my sixth year at Bertha Holt Elementary and it is a privilege to be teaching 4th grade. I enjoy spending time with my wife (Alicia), son (James Jr.) daughter (Julia) and our loving dog Aile. I grew up in Nyssa Oregon, which is located in Eastern Oregon along the Snake River. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pacific University in Education & Learning and my Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon. In high school and college I competed in Cross Country and Track for Nyssa High School, Lane Community College and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Along with teaching, I am an assistant Cross Country coach at North Eugene High School and head track coach at Kelly Middle School.

Let's have a great Year!
