This is my 20th year in the Eugene 4J School District and 9th year at Bertha Holt Elementary. It is a privilege to be teaching 3rd grade. I enjoy spending time with my wife (Alicia), son (James Jr.) daughter (Julia). I grew up in Nyssa Oregon, which is located in Eastern Oregon along the Snake River. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pacific University in Education & Learning and my Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon. In high school and college I competed in Cross Country and Track for Nyssa High School, Lane Community College and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Along with teaching, I am the Head XC Coach at Sheldon High School. Go Irish!
