This is my 8th year at Bertha Holt Elementary and it is a privilege to be teaching 3rd grade. I enjoy spending time with my wife (Alicia), son (James Jr.) daughter (Julia). I grew up in Nyssa Oregon, which is located in Eastern Oregon along the Snake River. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pacific University in Education & Learning and my Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon. In high school and college I competed in Cross Country and Track for Nyssa High School, Lane Community College and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Along with teaching, I am the Head Cross Country and Track Coach at Monroe Middle School. Go Mustangs!

Sports: Track and Field, Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Softball, Baseball and Golf.
Music: 90's dance hits, Alternative, and all genres really. Music is so good!
