Welcome Back! 

Good afternoon third grade families!

My name is James Longoria (Mr. Longoria, to the kids) and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher this school year! I am so excited to work with you and your child and support their journey to 4th grade. It is going to be an absolutely fantastic year!

Holt will be hosting an in-person Meet the Teacher event on Tuesday, September 2nd from 2:00-3:00pm. I hope you and your student will take advantage of this fabulous opportunity to view our classroom and meet their classmates! After you stop by for Meet the Teacher, Kona Ice will be on the playground from 2:30 onward selling delicious shave ice and donating a portion of their sales to Holt. Please stop by, say hi, then enjoy a tasty treat!

Getting Home Survey: Click Here is a survey about your child's normal process for getting home from school. Please submit a separate form for each of your children. We will use this information to help ensure your child's safety. If you change your plan for any particular day, please send a note with your child to give to their teacher or call the front office. 

As a friendly reminder, if you have not already paid the Holt Supply Fee for this year, this money goes a long way toward helping ensure all students have the supplies they need to be successful. If this fee will be a hardship to your family, please contact school secretary Sharon Alberts (alberts_@4j.lane.edu, 541-790-6114). This fee can be paid in full all at once or spread out throughout the school year. Thank you for your support! 

I will be emailing a weekly newsletter nearly each week on Sunday to keep you informed about what is happening in our classroom and at Holt, so look forward to future updates! Monday Mailers will also be sent home with your student at the beginning of each week with school flyers and further information.
