Cooking Club

Advisor:  Ms. Panasci

Description: 

This fun and exciting Foodie Fun class will have themed weekly food activities that your child will prepare and have the opportunity to eat!  

• There are so many communication skills naturally embedded in these activities!  As your child is having fun creating their food projects, they will also be strengthening their language skills!

• As we explore new ingredients, utensils, descriptions and techniques, we will address new vocabulary as well. 

• Direction-following, sequencing and comprehension skills will be reinforced as we complete the steps in our projects. 

• Social skills will be addressed as the children interact during class while learning the value of cooperation, teamwork, and sharing as they prepare their food projects.  

Guidelines: 

• K and 1st graders will meet on Wednesdays

• The club will meet in the Pre-K room from 3:30-4:15

• Pick up is promptly at 4:15 pm at the Pre-K entrance

• Children will be released only to persons authorized by a parent.  Please have your child bring me a note if anyone other than their parent will be picking them up from club.

• You must sign out your child with Ms. Panasci

• A note is needed if your child will not be attending a session

• Participants will be accepted through a lottery and you will be notified if your child is in the club before the start date.

• PLEASE NOTE--------- We will be asking for food donations from families each week for the club!
