Middle School Capstone Project

Students will prepare and present a project that addresses a civic issue problem.

• Identify a civic issue (problem) facing them, their school, or their community.

• Analyze a civic issue (problem), evaluate alternative solutions, design and/or execute a solution for this problem.

• Take informed action to address the civic issue.

• Reflect on what they have learned about their school or community from the Capstone project.

• Make a presentation about their Civic Readiness Capstone project.

• 1st Seal point earned this year.

GRADE 9

High School Civic Project (1) - Focus on World History

Students will research historical events with civic connections.

• Identification & definition of global issue under investigation.

• Analyze & evaluate sources both historic & current.

• Justify strategies or course of action to solve issue.

• Reflect on issue and how it impacted their civic knowledge, skills, mindsets, and if appropriate, actions.
