DEX and Professional Development

Data extraction for the DEP is a crucial task for 3ie's operations and provides a very unique learning opportunity. By working on DEX you will:

Closely review a broad range of impact evaluations across multiple sectors.
Learn to navigate international taxonomies and accurately apply their criteria to real-world interventions.
Become more efficient at reading research papers – able to quickly identify key areas of the text (helping to improve your TAS and FTS skills).
Become more familiar with the most reputable and innovative interventions and research methods.

DEP Guiding Principles

Extract data to a high-quality standard to be used by 3ie and international researchers/policymakers.
After a training period - the average time for a study extraction is 60-75 minutes (this could vary depending on the study).
