Published by Academic Impressions in November 2020, the article details my experience identifying a need to better prepare my university student academic support staff to help retain our highest need, most underrepresented college students as we help them develop and practice cognitive skills for higher level learning. The article features research, curated content, and popular and scholarly articles on developing an anti-racist approach to creating positive societal change. Student testimonials on the impact of the program are included immediately following the training, and collected again three months post-training.
